"'BRATS' Hits Big Screen"
Rich Hardwick
May 23, 2007
On this Armed Forces Day, some people in Warner Robins recognized the families of
America's soldiers.
Filmmaker Donna Musil says she spent seven years making the movie "Brats."
It is the first documentary about growing up in a military family.
Central Georgians got an opportunity to see the work during a free screening at
the Museum of Aviation Saturday afternoon.
As a child, Musil says she grew up with an army father who moved their family 12
times in 16 years.
Movie-goers say the film brings back memories of their own lives.
Musil says she dedicates her film to those who've known the feeling of loneliness that
comes with being a military brat.
