"Brats: Our Journey Home" - A movie presented by Donna Musil and Narrated by Kris Kristofferson.

What we liked about the movie or what we thought was a high point was the fact that the children in the military felt like they had no home. Wherever they went they always had to leave a couple years later and they had to always work to fit in.

Another point was that they always moved a lot and they held it together while leaving. They always left their friends and had to make new ones.

A major point for families in the army is that the youth in the army learn responsibility and they bring honor and duty to their families. Watching Brats-Our Journey Home made me consider how that concept has changed. It is sad that military youth now don't consider the family "HONOR" and seem to forget "DUTY."

The last high point was that they honored their flag while the flag was being either raised or lowered everyone stopped what they were doing if they were driving they stopped and waited until it was over. We have been a military youth for as long as can remember and we have never seen this act of respect take place.

We found it interesting and almost comforting to see that military "brats" have been around for a long time. We are not the first and defiantly not the last "BRAT."

We were a little disappointed to see our history as military brats and notice that we aren't as respectful and considerate as our forebrats! It is these qualities that can affect military brats everywhere and they have to know that it happened to a lot of military brats. Life can be hard in the military but it forms character that make the world a better place. Even when it is hard, in the end it is worth it.

Most military brats notice that this nation is losing respect of it's own. Military brats respect this nation and spend their life serving the United States. Some people still don't even know we are here. They don't even try to understand what we go through. We are glad to see movies like "Brats-Our Journey Home" because it tells the world we are here.

We don't get wealthy or popular because we're military brats, but we are gifted with the greatest characteristics: duty, responsible, and honor.

Even though life for a military brat is more difficult, the documentary shows how characteristics and values are formed by the military. Its shows that even though we're "brats," we deal with what comes when moving to a new alien-like world (your new home and school). As families of the UNITED STATES MILITARY, we are examples to all non-military families. This documentary shows what life is like for military brats.

People say that the military's strength is their emotions and values. It's emotional sometimes when you lose a teacher, special friends, family, and pets because you're moving. Modern day technology allows us to send email, call, and send letters it's just not the same! For Military Brats, life is hard, but we can all pull through it together as families.

This movie shows how life in the army compared to regular civilian may be harder. We are taken away from our family, friends and pets to be relocated to another state maybe even another country. This documentary however took a look at how much harder it was back in the day for military brats than it is today. "Brats- Our Journey Home" tells you that if you think it is hard today, think of how it was for the kids whose family was in the military about 15 to 30 years ago. In my opinion, I think people should watch this documentary to see how they struggled!
